Emmett and Katie came up with such a beautiful arrangement of “Down to the River to Pray,” a traditional gospel song that Alison Krauss famously recorded for the 2000 movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”. The fun interlude at 1:45 was Katie’s idea. We try to match our songs to locations and it can take a little while for the song, venue, and lead singer to all come together at the same time! Sometimes we also have to wait for the leaves to return to the Ozarks, the heavy rains to stop, or Julianne to come back from college.
