The Banks of Spey — Scottish Fiddle Tune!

Here is a tune called “The Banks of Spey.” It was written by William Marshall, and is a strathspey. Usually, I’ve heard this tune played very slowly (most strathspeys are played pretty slowly..), which gives it a bit of an eerie melancholy feeling. I’ve never been to the River Spey, but since I’m a bit of a happy goofball, I thought I’d try to perk it up a little and play it a tad faster than normal.. It really gives the tune a completely different feel! It’s kind of strange… Hopefully I haven’t ruined it for anyone! In Colorado, we usually have lots of rapids on our rivers, so I was imagining a similar river….. ….
